The regular season of Japan baseball is now getting close to the end, and each team has around 30 games remaining.
Currently, Orix Buffaloes (Pacific league) and Hanshin Tigers (Central league) are leading each league, but even if they win the regular season, they still have to win the post-season playoffs (called "Climax Series"), in order to be qualified for the final round, the Japan Series.

What's the rule of Japan baseball post-season, "The Climax series"?
"The Climax Series" is held for each league, Pacific league and Central league.
Top 3 teams of each league will be qualified for the Climax Series, and there are two rounds during "the Climax series".
1) First stage, between 2nd place team vs 3rd place team
✔︎ Out of max 3 games, the team who had 2 will be qualified for final stage (Game 3 might be canceled when one of the teams got 2 wins before the game 3)
✔︎ The games will be held at the home stadium of 2nd place team
2) Final stage, between 1st place team vs (the team qualified from the first stage)
✔︎ The 1st place team will automatically have 1 win from the beginning as an advantage
✔︎ Out of max 6 games, the team who had 4 will be qualified for the Japan Series (Game 5 and 6 might be canceled when one of the teams got 4 wins before those games)
✔︎ The games will be held at the home stadium of 1st place team
What's the rule of "The Japan series"?
Finally the championship games, "The Japan Series" will be done by the winners of the Climax Series.
3) The Japan Series, between the winners of Climax Series
✔︎ The champion (who won the Climax Series) of Central league vs Pacific league
✔︎ Out of max 7 games, the team who had 4 will be the champion of Japan professional baseball 2023 (Game 5, 6, and 7 might be canceled when one of the teams got 4 wins before those games)
✔︎ The games will be held at the home stadium of each team. This year, it will be,
・Game1&2 (28 & 29/Oct) → At the home stadium of Pacific league
・Game3, 4&5 (31/Oct, 01 & 02/Nov) → At the home stadium of Central league
・Game6&7 (4 & 5/Nov) → At the home stadium of Pacific league
When do the ticket sales start for post-season?
If you are around in Japan during that period, watching the post-season baseball will definitely be a unique and memorable experience!
But as you can imagine, the ticket for Climax series and the Japan series will be sold out very quickly. So if you're interested, I would recommend to let us know and pre-book, so that we can try to book right after the ticket is on sale.
*Looking at the previous years situation, the ticket for Climax Series first stage tend to be on sale at around the end of September.
